Introduction to Empowerment Technology

This quarter, we explored Empowerment Technology and how it affects our daily lives as students. I realized that technology is more than just social media or games it is a tool for learning, creating, and sharing ideas.

Our first activity involved understanding ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and its role in education. We discussed how digital tools help students research, collaborate, and communicate effectively. I realized that technology can make learning more interactive, creative, and enjoyable.

I also started exploring digital responsibility. Using technology wisely means respecting others online, protecting personal information, and avoiding misinformation. This lesson reminded me that being a responsible digital citizen is just as important as learning to use the tools themselves.

This first week made me excited about the possibilities that technology offers. It is amazing how one tool can help students learn, share ideas, and reflect on their growth.

My Technology Journey (About me)

  Hello! My name is Althea Yvonne L. Miguel , and I am a Grade 12 HUMSS student. I created this blog as part of our Empowerment Technology subject, where I can share my learning, class activities, and personal reflections. I enjoy learning about technology and discovering how it can help people communicate, solve problems, and express ideas. I believe that using technology wisely is a powerful way to improve ourselves and achieve our goals. Through this blog, I want to document my journey as a student my challenges, accomplishments, and lessons learned. I also hope to show how technology has empowered me to grow academically and personally. In the future, I dream of becoming either a psychologist or a lawyer . Week 10

Exhibit This week, we were preparing for an exhibit, although there was some confusion because we also had another presentation. Still, we were asked to suggest an activity that could be added to our app, preferably related to HUMSS or barangay concerns. This task made us think deeper about our app’s purpose. It’s not just about information, it’s also about engagement. We wanted users to interact with the app and learn something meaningful. Even though the instructions were simple, it required creativity. We had to think of something useful, relevant, and interesting for users. This week reminded me that good projects are not just informative they should also be engaging and helpful to the community.
